Battlestations: Midway Trailer Available Nowby Nelson Rodriguez
Eidos has released a trailer for Battlestations: Midway that uses the in-game engine to show the full range of sea and air vehicles you'll get to command in the upcoming World War II naval battle game.
Where mediocre games like Blazing Angels focused only on the flight component of the second world war, Batlestations: Midway lets you control anything from fighter planes, to battleships, to submarines. The trailer does a good job of showing off the concept, and though the graphics aren't a big selling point, the game looks more visually impressive than Blazing Angels.
The trailer is available everywhere but Japan, which might make sense given the focus of the game. Then again, if games are to be excluded from certain regions just because of who the "bad guy" is, then German gamers must only have seen 3 FPS games, after all these years.
Battlestations: Midway will let you jump-in and directly control over 60 legendary WWII warships, planes and submarines and fight the biggest battles of the Pacific War on a massive scale. Download this trailer for a taste of some of the 'war machines' that could soon be under your command.
