Today the NPD Group released it's monthly sales figures for the video game industry, both hardware (systems/consoles) and software (individual titles) are included in the monthly report; for March 2010 the Xbox 360 sold 338.4K units on the hardware side and had only two of it's games crack the top 10 on the software side of things. The big winner was God of War 3, which cracked a huge number with over 1 million copies sold since it's release; easily the biggest success software-wise that Sony has seen with it's next-gen console. Still the Xbox 360 managed to squeak past the Playstation 3 in terms of overall systems sold during the 31 day reporting period, even though Microsoft's console saw no major releases that month (a very good sign).
