Over One Million Downloads for Lost Planet Demoby Nelson Rodriguez
Capcom announced that the single-player and multiplayer demos of Lost Planet: Extreme Condition have been downloaded over one million times by the global Xbox community. The two demos combined make Lost Planet one of the most popular titles played on the 360, and it isn't even out yet. The real surprise is that more people haven't gotten a hold of the demos which basically amount to totally free mini-games.
“Xbox 360 players have now had two opportunities to try Lost Planet since the first demo was released in May, and they have in huge numbers,” said Hiroshi Tobisawa, President of Capcom Europe. “Since we made the multiplayer demo available through Xbox Marketplace, there have been hundreds of thousands of hours spent playing the game, which is a great testament to the quality of Lost Planet. This latest demo has completely energized the Xbox community, giving them something to look forward to in the New Year, when the next big hit Xbox 360 title hits retail.”
The Lost Planet demo was one of the first games I played when I got my 360 earlier this year. The experience was nothing less than amazing. I've moved on and had a tough time getting into matches on the multiplayer demo. Are you still playing the Lost Planet demos?
