Call of Duty 3 Maps On the Way

Activision announced that they will be releasing map packs for Call of Duty 3 after the holidays, and will be offering both a premium option and a freebie for the fans.  If you're all tapped out after buying yourself a lot of gifts, you can go for the "Bonus Map", named "Champs", which will take you to Port Royal de Champs, France for classic Call of Duty infantry-based combat intended for small to medium-sized online games.

The "Valor Map Pack" will clear 800 Microsoft points from your account and will contain five new multiplayer maps that will take you through different locations in France.  The maps are said to be designed for intense close-quarters action, whether via online, split-screen or System Link play.

$10 for five maps doesn't seem awful, but a free map is my clear favorite.
