According to the internet rumor-sphere, THQ (publisher behind Red Faction and UFC Undisputed) has just confirmed the sequel to Metro 2033
(read our official review by clicking here), and it is currently being developed with an extra gimmick - that's right Metro is going to the 3D. They didn't offer many other details on the yet-to-be-announced project but did offer some small tidbits during an interview with gaming magazine CVG at E3 2010. Core Games VP, Danny Bilson stated to CVG that the sequel is one of four, THQ, titles planned to release with some sort of 3D functionality. Check out the quote below but between you and me I could care less about 3D and what it has to offer, glasses were replaced by contacts for a reason - now these publishers want us to go backwards in time and wear glasses for enjoyment; oh the irony. Sony has already come out with guns blazing into the 3D atmosphere but the Xbox 360 creator has kept quite on whether or not full-dimensional support will be coming sometime in the future, stay tuned to PlanetXbox360.com for news on this whole 3D debacle as it happens.
"4A Games are indeed working on a new Metro title, although we're still very early in pre-production," a representative told us. "Working title is 'Metro 2034' but don't expect a straight sequel to Metro 2033 or even parallels with Glukhovsky's book"
