As reported last week, Sega has yanked full exclusivity from Sony for the upcoming Virtua Fighter 5, but the game will indeed get a few months of PS3 glory. Community member Haukke pointed this error out in last week's article, though CVG had reported a simultaneous launch.
According to New Zealand website
gameplanet.com (no relation) Virtua Fighter 5 will be released in March of 2007 for the PS3, and Xbox 360 owners will have to wait until winter to get their butt-whipping on. The news is still good for the 360 and its owners, but PS3 fans will have a few months to enjoy (and gloat over) VF5. Though nowhere near as powerful as rock-solid exclusives, imited time exclusives still have a slight impact on the console wars. I know some cross-platform gamers who bought GTA San Andreas on the PS2 just because they were unwilling to wait for the slightly improved graphics.
I doubt VF5 is a game you can't wait for. If you only own a 360, you'll have no choice.
