Some news has started to leak out of the 2010 San Diego Comic Con via an ArsTechnica mole, regarding an upcoming holiday bundle featuring a Halo: Reach-themed silver Xbox 360 Slim that will include two Halo wireless controllers and a 250GB hard-drive; the screenshot below (grabbed by Haloreachtips) shows the limited-edition bundle priced at $399, which makes sense from almost every retail pricing structure we can think of. It will also include a copy of Halo: Reach, easily one of the most-anticipated games for the Xbox 360 that is releasing in 2010. We love the look of the new black Xbox 360 slim and can't wait to see some official screens of the silver colored one, stay tuned for more details on this "rumored" bundle as the Microsoft press releases start to flood out (now that it's been semi-leaked).
We also have an image of the limited-edition Xbox 360 Halo: Reach controller, that just happens to be silver - priced at $59.99 it will be coming out around the same time as Bungie's masterpiece (an image of it is also located below). Launching on September 14 in North America, Halo: Reach is "probably" going to be Bungie's last entry in the storied franchise. It is set before the 2001 Xbox classic Halo: Combat Evolved, the first game in the series, and tells the story of the defense of Reach by a Spartan squad. The Halo franchise has so far sold in excess of 34 million games, according to Microsoft. The game will ship in three variant editions--normal, limited, and legendary--as confirmed in April.
