Lair of the Shadow Broker, a new piece of DLC for Mass Effect 2 was announced earlier this week, featuring a story that has Commander Shepard and his partner Liara take on the evil Shadow Broker, a character frequently spoken-of in the ME2 main campaign. Along with this, some keen-eyed fans noticed Shepard and crew packing some guns (and other artillery) that have yet to be released or seen in the main game.
Some gamers would assume that the guns are included in “Shadow Broker” but Jarrett Lee from Bioware cleared the air by stating on an official forum that the new guns are NOT included in the upcoming DLC, but will be made part of a smaller, purchasable add-on pack that will release sometime before “Shadow Broker.” While details are sparse, Lee stated that more details will be made available to the public “very soon.”
About: Two years after Commander Shepard repelled invading Reapers bent on the destruction of organic life, a mysterious new enemy has emerged. On the fringes of known space, something is silently abducting entire human colonies. Now Shepard must work with Cerberus, a ruthless organization devoted to human survival at any cost, to stop the most terrifying threat mankind has ever faced. To even attempt this perilous mission, Shepard must assemble the galaxy’s most elite team and command the most powerful ship ever built. Even then, they say it would be suicide. Commander Shepard intends to prove them wrong.
