The first Dead Space might be one of my favorite games of all time, if not my favorite. So news like this tends to excite me beyond your typical press release. Steve Papoutsis spoke with Joystiq on some of the hurdles that Visceral will overcome in terms of developing the sequel. "Isaac is more responsive, a little bit quicker," Papoutsis told Joystiq. Along with more in-depth tutorials, Papoutsis promises "animations look better -- everything's just smoother."
Dead Space 2 will introduce free movement into its Zero-G segments, breaking free from the restricted Zero-G movement prevalent in the first game, "That's actually an idea from the first game that got cut for production time." Papoutsis told Joystiq "What we've done is special, people are very passionate about it, and it's our responsibility to try and do better than what we did the first time." In the bevy of titles that are yet to be released in 2010, I am dying for Dead Space 2 and Papoutsis’ statements are making the wait all the longer.
About: There are still loads of Necromorphs that need killing. In Dead Space 2, not everything is exactly as it seems. Expect plot twists that will surprise you and a huge cast of twisted, disgusting monsters that are sure to scare the daylights out of you.
