This week, Best Buy has begun offering free Microsoft Points to those who pre-order a copy of Microsoft’s highly anticipated Fall title, Halo: Reach. For those interested in navigating to Bestbuy.com, simply pre-ordering the Xbox 360 exclusive will net you the free 400 MS points (or about $5 bucks) - you should also be able to do this in brick-and-mortar stores all around the country.
On the other hands, online retailers like Walmart and Amazon are conversely offering $20 credits on video games when purchasing a standard edition of Halo: Reach, which arrives worldwide on September 14th, 2010.
Sadly, there has been little inclusion of the Halo: Reach Xbox 360 bundle in all of the discounting, but that doesn’t seem to be discouraging anyone from getting their hands on the console that will be hitting retail at $399.99 and nets Halo fanatics a silver slim 250GB Xbox 360, a copy of Halo: Reach, DLC code for limited edition Elite armor, an episode of Halo Legends, Reach themed headset and two sexy custom controllers. Here’s hoping September 14th gets here sooner than later.
