Despite arguable interference from impending blockbuster hit Halo: Reach, recent examination of pre-order demand on Amazon.com reveals that zombies and aliens are both equally worth attention of players bent on mayhem. Well, at least the collector's edition, or Zombrex Edition, of the game.
Seeing a 20 percent increase, the Zombrex Edition seems like the version a lot of gamers are excited to get their hands on - regardless of the various mixed feelings about Collector's Editions in the gaming community. And for good reason, since the pre-order bonus nets Xbox owners some slick content.
Amazon in particular is offering Xbox Live Avatar items for pre-orders, which include Chuck Green's jeans, super slicer weapon and yellow motocross jacket. Additionally, the Zombrex Edition will include a Steelbook Case, Dead Rising 2 Game Disc, 24-Minute Making Of Featurette, Zombrex “Syringe” pen, Zombrex “Prescription” notepad, Zombrex “Safety” card, Zombrex “Prospectus” Sales Brochure and Dead Rising 2 Hardback Artbook along with the Zombrex Dead Rising Sun, which has been featured on Xbox Live.
Dead Rising 2 is currently in development by Canadian developer Blue Castle Games and is being published by Capcom. The game will be released on September 28, 2010.
