Sit back and strap in because Treasure is getting ready to put players through some hellish paces later this year by bringing an HD rendition of Bangai-O to Xbox Live Arcade.
For the unfamiliar, Bangai-O is a series that is traditionally steeped in a lot of Mecha. So imagining Gundam Wing, Xenogears or even Armored Core would all be pretty close to the basics as far as subject matter is concerned. As far as gameplay though, shoot'em veterans need only apply.
Reaping a game that will offer some slight puzzle elements on top of the harder than bullet hell environments that fans of titles like Ikaruga and DeathSmiles should be all too familiar with, Bangai-O has the markings of a Treasure cult hit written all over it.
While a release date is yet to be unveiled, it looks like this one might be coming out at a measly 800 Microsoft Points, which shouldn't bar Treasure fanatics from picking this title up now that you're all looking forward to it.
