Proving that there is still some steam yet in the Call of Duty franchise, despite the fact that it feels a bit like a dead horse is being beaten, Black Ops is currently snagging spots in the Top 15 on Amazon's Video Game pre-orders.
Slamming it's way into the Top 5 at number 3, it seems that people have already had their pre-order fill of Halo: Reach, which is set to arrive at retail next week. While Amazon is ordering their seemingly cursory $20 video game credit on the game, this has only seemed to help the sales of the various versions of the game.
The standard version of the game will net the least picky gamers nought more than a copy of Call of Duty: Black Ops while the greater trimmings will be reserved for the more monetarily faithful CoD fans. The Hardened Edition comes in a SteelBook case, an exclusive Xbox Live Avatar uniform, four extra multiplayer maps and a Collector's Medal with a display case. Finally, the Prestige Edition is set to proffer everything in the Hardened Edition plus an RC Car that will also be a playable device in-game.
Call of Duty: Black Ops is the latest installment in the First Person Shooter series, currently being developed by Treyarch and will be arriving at retail on November 9, 2010.
