Gears of War Release Date Still Unknown

The Xbox.com webpage for what will probably be one of the biggest Xbox 360 game releases, Gears of War, has been updated from what was previously a October 2nd release to "TBD".

News posting and discussion activity was hot over the weekend when the initial discovery was made that Gears of War had gone from "Q4 2006" release date, to an October 2nd one. Many sites were cautious however, because as has been shown before, Xbox.com is sometimes not the most reliable source of information for game release schedules.

Any cautiousness that fan sites displayed in not treating the October release date as official has now paid off, with the release date listing on this page now saying, "TBD" - to be decided / determined.

This means that either the October release date was erroneous, or that it was a premature announcement. Either way, we will keep you updated with any official Gears of War release date announcements.
