For the past month or so Xbox 360 gamers around the world have been helping to raise money for the Child's Play charity (from the Penny Arcade team) and today it was announced exactly how much cash was donated. A video posted on YouTube (embedded below) explains how much money Epic raised in the 'Fate of Carmine' fundraising program, where gamers chose via a virtual or real life t-shirt whether they wanted Gears of War character Carmine to live or die in the upcoming Xbox 360 exclusive, Gears of War 3. They don't announce what the results are, you'll have to play the game when it releases in April 2011 to find out, but Cliff Bleszinski and Rod Fergusson from Epic Games did thanks gamers everywhere for supporting the cause and raising an epic amount of money for the Child's Play charity (donates gaming equipment and more to hospitals all over the country - for use by sick children).
"Epic Games' Cliff Bleszinski and Rod Fergusson thank the fans and supporters of the 'Fate of Carmine' fundraising program for raising more than $150,000 to benefit Child's Play Charity."
