Lost Planet Sells Well All Over Planet Earth

Capcom just got done celebrating the million-selling success of Dead Rising, when they had to make room on the list for Lost Planet, the instantly successful frozen action shooter.  Capcom's latest has rocketed to the top of the UK charts and has sold over 1 million copies in the US and Europe.

The game has received decent reviews, though nothing that would have marked it as the king of all games.  Capcom has put a lot of effort behind building the buzz for the game, with two heavily downloaded demos and big budget launch events.

The title offers a mix of familiar action elements and a unique and well designed environment, but the game also benefits from being alone in the world of the 360.  With almost no other new Xbox 360 titles to choose from, Lost Planet is well positioned to fill our time until the next big release.
