The Lowdown on the Crackdown Demo Download

You may have already heard that Crackdown has gone gold, and everyone knows what that means, but the game demo is now ready for you to snatch from the Xbox Live Marketplace.  Coming in at a whopping 1.32 Gigs the demo offers you a fairly decent view of the environment, the character models and the action.  The demo looks a heck of a lot better than some of those screenshots we got a look at a while back.

You are taken through a narrated training mission to get a sense of the game.  Think Ultimate Spiderman meets Saints Row and you'll be 99% of the way there.  the demo is not available in Germany or Japan.

Crackdown pushes the action-driving hybrid genre into the next generation with the introduction of the first-ever truly 3-dimensional persistent playground, highly innovative co-op gameplay and an extensive prop interaction system all while taking place in a massive and highly-stylized urban center. Players are called to unleash explosive judicial oppression on the most powerful, organized crime syndicates in existence. Restitution is the only goal. Players must crackdown on crime, decipher the organization of the gangs, and eliminate the kingpins. All strategies and tactics are acceptable provided players clean up the streets.
