It’s no surprise that Epic Games and People Can Fly were aiming for an M rating with their upcoming new IP, Bulletstorm. Today, the gates of the ESRB burst open revealing all the juicy details that scored a 17+ rating for the game. The highlight of the description centers around the Skillshot abilities, each carrying names such as “Gag Reflex,” “Rear Entry,” as well as the wonderfully named “Drilldo.” The Skillshot “Fire in the Hole” involves shooting an enemy where the sun don’t shine. There’s also plenty of innuendo including some pretty hilariously vulgar jokes about moms walking with a “limp.”
The detailed posting also lists all the ugly words muttered in the game, as well as the different methods of scoring points via gruesome kills. Players who can “dismember and decapitate foes,” are graciously rewarded for doing so. While Bulletstorm doesn’t sound like it’s going to receive any awards for being the classiest game of 2011, it definitely sounds like it will deliver a few shamed laughs when it releases February 22, 2011 along with an invite to the Gears of War 3 beta.
