New York, NY - February 3, 2011 - Major League Gaming (MLG), the world's largest professional video game league and largest provider of cross platform online videogame competition, today announced the first two events in the 2011 Pro Circuit kicking off in Dallas, Texas, April 1-3 and heading to Columbus, Ohio, June 3-5. The 2011 season will consist of six live events across the US where the world's best players will compete for their share of a prize purse totaling over $1 million and the coveted title of MLG champion.
This year, thousands of participants will square off playing three of the most competitive titles available: StarCraft 2 for PC, Halo: Reach for Xbox 360, and for the first time - Call of Duty®: Black Ops for PlayStation® 3 system. Online registration for the season opener at the Dallas Convention Center begins on Tuesday, March 1 at 7pm ET at www.majorleaguegaming.com.
MLG has taken the event experience to a new level adding three massive main stages to provide spectators with an optimized view of all the gameplay action. Those that can't make it in person can watch in real-time with an improved LIVE online viewing experience and extensive video coverage at www.majorleaguegaming.com.
