Get Your NBA Street Homecourt Demo Onby Nelson Rodriguez
The demo for Electronic Arts' NBA Street Homecourt has tip-toed onto the Xbox Live Marketplace last week with almost no fanfare. The download weighs in at almost 510 MB and will let you get a pickup game in, between the Nuggets and the Pistons.
Fans of cities other than Denver and Detroit are out of luck for now, but if it makes you feel any better, you also get to play at Venice Beach. Though you can't truly customize your players in this demo, you get to choose shirts or skins for the teams. This gives you the choice of stripping big men down to their shorts before every game. Just make it a default or something, so I don't have to deal with that decision.
All silliness aside, this is a pretty solid trial. I was able to play for over a half hour, without getting kicked into a trailer or the dashboard. I can't guarantee that this will be the case for everyone, since I never experienced a winning game, which might lead to a different ending. The graphics are pretty much what you saw in the screenshots and the game plays like any Street title before it.
Go play ball.
[edit: this demo was out last week, NOT today. See what happens when you travel and don't have access to the internet or your 360? Damn jet lag]
