Rainbow Six Vegas Maps For Sale Soon

    by Nelson Rodriguez

The Rainbow Six Vegas multiplayer landscape is about to get a lot bigger with the addition of some new maps which might be coming in March.  Expect to pay.

Some players of the ever-popular Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter were vocally ticked off over the price tag on the GRAW maps released last year.  Ubisoft may have taken the grumbling to heart, as it appears the R6Vegas maps will come in at only 800 Microsoft points - 400 points or $5 less than the offending map pack.

French gaming site jeux-france is reporting that the new downloadable content will include 10 maps.  Hopefully this doesn't mean 4 new locations and 6 relit repeats.  I'm one of those guys who bought the GRAW download, and thoroughly enjoyed it, but I also didn't pay full price for the game.

Is $10 OK for a map pack?  Will you bite in March?

I'm always somewhat amused at those that compare 360 DLC to PC DLC, pointing to the fact that most PC DLC is free and the retail games themselves are cheaper. However, they never take into acount that a good gaming rig is 4 to 5 times more expensive than a 360. Then, a mere 2 years later, a PC gamer has to upgrade with a new video card, more RAM, etc, possibly spending the same amount as a 360. Don't get me wrong, I wish 360 DLC was cheaper, too, but it's still WAY cheaper to console game than PC game.

    1. yes I'll get 'em cause I won't mind paying $1 per map, sounds reasonable. 2. wow 10 new maps, stoked. 3. If your like the guy below & think the current RB6 maps suck, lol, then its because you must suck at playing RB6 online. 4. ALL the maps that are currently are good, if not great, loved that they brought back an old map, and touch it up some, hope they bring back more!! :P

The RB6 maps suck, hopefully these will be better. For $10, what the hell.

I won't - I kinda hate the fact that PC gamers usually get MAPS for FREE - not charged a single penny, but XBOX users shell out 10 Dollars for an extension that PC Players geht for free. I don't mind a small fee, but everything above 5 bucks is just too much.

I'm in for sure. RB6V is one of my favorite games but I have slowed down my playing because I am was getting a little tired of the same old maps all the time. So for me, 10 new maps is great! I also don't mind the $10 assuming these are maps they created as additional content and not some 108kb unlock code download for stuff that is already on the disk. I don't mind paying for the work they did to create new additional content, as long as it is real. To me this is one of the best parts of Live. The ability to download additional maps or content adds tremendous replay value to games. It is almost feels like getting a new game. Combined with the ability to patch glitches and things that need updated is priceless IMO.
