Hardcore fans aren't always the easiest to please, and Metacritic's user ratings can sometimes confirm that. Portal 2 buyers have turned to the site to voice their opinion over day one DLC, and the fact that console messages, such as, "please do not turn off the console," are appearing in the PC version. This tactic, however, has not brought the user Metactritic score down too low. The average score still is above 7.0 and the critics are still giving it rave reviews with the average score hitting in the mid to low 90s range on the site. This is unlike another recent game to be bombed by Metacritic users - Dragon Age II - which still has a user score of 4.4 at the time of this publication. Maybe all these letdown fans wanted was a forum to express their opinions - good and bad - and it looks like Metacritic became that. Either way, no game is ever so perfect that it escapes criticism.
