Bethesda Softworks has debuted a new RAGE video today on their official blog. No teasers or rendered cutscenes here, just 5 minutes of gameplay action. The video begins with a short vehicular combat section then transitions to an underground bunker for some FPS gameplay. Various weapons are shown including a crossbow, combat shotgun, "Authority" machine gun, and an assault riffle. With each weapon change the player also has the option to change ammo. Viewers also get to see a few gadgets available such as a spider turret, a small door breacher, sentry gun, and a remote control bomb car.
RAGE is an upcoming first-person shooter developed by id Software and published by Bethesda Softworks. RAGE is set in a post-apocalyptic world that was decimated by an asteroid in 2036, and the player must make his/her way through the wasteland via dune-buggy finding food and allies. RAGE will also feature some RPG elements with an inventory system, ammo upgrades, buggy upgrades, and weapon customization.
