Microsoft has responded to the BBC Watchdog program it featured on, where they were accused of over charging for Xbox 360 console repairs.
The show was based on gamers who's consoles had broken down just after the one year warranty period had expired. They were then told they needed to pay about £80 (or USD$160) to get them fixed.
Microsoft have responded with an official statement saying that the "vast majority" of Xbox 360 owners have had an "outstanding experience" with their consoles. They have also said that there is no systemic issue with Xbox 360 and that the return rate for 360's is less than the industry average of 3% to 5%.
