It’s been a while since we hunted the treasures and were hunted by the ghosts of the Sierra Madre casino in Fallout: New Vegas’ winter DLC Dead Money, but veterans of the Mojave Wasteland have a busy summer ahead of them. Bethesda has confirmed previous rumors of three additional DLC packs for the game, all adding new areas and story in the tradition of Fallout: New Vegas‘s DLC and Dead Money. The first will be up in just over a week - Honest Hearts hits digital distribution networks on May 17, 2011.
All three packs tie into elements of the Fallout mythos previously referenced in New Vegas, but never before seen. Honest Hearts will be based in Utah and you’ll encounter the Burned Man, who you may have heard about if you investigated the backstory of Caesar’s Legion.
Old World Blues will arrive in June, sending you to the Big Empty research facility mentioned by characters in Dead Money. Finally, Lonesome Road will bring the game’s main story full circle in July, when players encounter the original courier of the Platinum Chip, Ulysses (also a character previously cut from the main game). Dead Money had a welcome amount of variety and depth, especially compared to Fallout 3‘s somewhat brief expansion chapters. How do these additions to the New Vegas story sound to you Fallout fans out there? Check back to PlanetXbox360.com for more details and impressions of the new DLC.
