Ubisoft is seasoning the internet with new images from Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2. With a release date right around the corner, I'm sure they hope the images can counteract some of the moaning and groaning from all of the Ghost recon fans who were disappointed by the recent demo launched on Xbox Live.
I'm often accused of being unreasonably harsh about games, but I quite liked the GRAW 2 demo. Sure, it wasn't a major departure from the previous entry in the series, and it feels like GRAW 1.5, but the sequel continues in the role of being one of the prettiest games on the console. GRAW 1 was a full game, with challenging missions and a moderately decent co-op mode.
The new game will feature another 6 mission co-op mode, some female operatives (a fun useless feature when your primary real life co-op partner happens to be a lady), and upgraded lighting effects.
Dusty Mexican towns and beige uniforms may not be exciting, and I suppose it does carry a bit of an expansion pack vibe to it, but the screenshots show off that tiny bit of extra polish they've given the title. If you were a fan of GRAW1, are you not sold on GRAW2?
