A new software update for Kaos Studios’ Homefront is now available for download. The software update brings new improvements to in-game mechanics and better connectivity, as well as the all-new “Ability Pack” which gives players the choice of 5 new special features. The list of new features is as follows:
The Fixes include:
- Assist points for vehicle kills
- Beacon errors
- Better connectivity
- Game freeze and hitching
- Game returns to MP menu instead of Main Menu after leaving a match
- Joining friends feature
- Party connectivity
- Rank resets
The Ability Pack includes:
- Bomb Suit: Take less damage from explosives
- EMP Tactician: Deal more damage vs EMP’d vehicles
- Ice Cold: Invisible on thermal views and airstrike sensors
- Short Fuse: Reduced cook time on frag grenades
- Situational Awareness: Enemy gamertag appears when shot
The Homefront Team also revealed that new DLC, the “Fire Sale” map pack, is going to hit the Xbox Live Marketplace on June 7. “Fire Sale” will include two brand new maps and will be available on Xbox 360 before any other platform. Also available for download on June 7 is the 870 Express Shotgun and a free Homefront premium theme for your Xbox 360 dashboard.
Pricing details have not yet been released regarding the “Fire Sale” map pack.
