Deep Silver has revealed new gameplay footage and a more exploratory look at Dead Island. Last week, a 12-minute video was released, and this footage is basically an expanded take on that video, minus the commentary. There is a more in-depth look at the island’s scenery, as well as an expanded demonstration of weapons and combat.
Considering the game is still in development, the video looked pretty crisp with only a few hiccups. The NPC dialog became repetitive at times, there was a technical glitch where the character fell halfway through the floor, and there was one instance when a zombie rammed a wall and there was no sound effect. Besides those three minor instances, everything looked beautiful, bloody and crisp. I especially liked the combat and the zombie type named, 'Suicider'. Check out the video below:
Dead Island is slated for release this fall for Xbox 360, PS3, and PC.
