Since its launch on November 22, 2005, there have been 55 million Xbox 360 consoles sold worldwide. It has been 5 ½ years since the launch, which puts the Xbox 360 at selling 10 million units per year. Not too shabby. The Xbox 360 has been the best selling console for the last 11 months, and over the first four months of 2011, Xbox 360 sales have seen a 29% year-over-year increase. Microsoft claims these numbers, ““triple the growth of PlayStation 3 and the largest growth of any console on the market.” Microsoft also stated that their are 35 million Xbox Live members to date.
