Call of Duty Elite will be receiving a public beta July 14, and it is invitation-only. You can register for an opportunity to become a beta-tester. The beta will not contain the full capabilities of Elite, but will have a preview of what the service has to offer. The beta will only work with the game, Call of Duty: Black Ops. One million gamers have already registered for the beta, so if you want your chance you should enter now!
Eric Hershberg, CEO of Activision Publishing, had this to say with regards to Call of Duty Elite:
