October is Official for Grand Theft Auto IV

Though not set in stone, and not much of a surprise, Take Two has confirmed that the next iteration of Grand Theft Auto is slated for an October release.  The announcement came by way of a conference call for investors, which msy or may not mean the release window is the real deal.

According to Teamxbox, the developer also let the attendees know that Rockstar will release episodic content in 2008.  That content will probably be pseudo-exclusive, meaning that each console will get different downloads not available across platforms.  Since the game release is supposed to be simultaneous for PS3 and the 360, no one fanboy camp will have bragging rights, as far as we can tell.
