Oblivion fans have been sitting at the edge of their seats waiting for the Shivering Isles expansion pack to be released. Afraid of downloading nearly an entire game to your tiny and fragile 360 hard drive? Fear no more... maybe.
Shivering Isles for 360 was long expected to be a download only option, which raised cries of "downloadable content isn't real... it's a figment of my computer's imagination! I can't trade it, I can't sell it, I can't donate it to charity!" In an interview with our friends over at
Gamertag Radio, Bethesda design director Bruce Nesmith revealed that the company is working on making the expansion pack a physical product that can be picked up at your local superstore.
You might even be able to pick up a full copy of Oblivion, in a special edition with the Shivering Isles content included. As someone who has not dared wander into the world of Oblivion, a super-edition like this could be a deal to hard to pass up. Or, at least it will help drive down the price on the original version, so I can pick it up on discount.
Will you download or buy the real thing?
