id Software has revealed a developer diary for their upcoming game, Rage. In the video, key developers shed light on the history of id Software and how they have learned from the successes of the Wolfenstein, Doom, and Quake. The Dev Diary also shows the id Tech 5.0 Engine in action, and the developers tote, “We are arguably the best looking game on the consoles today and, the point is, we’re running at two times the frame rate [60fps].”
Rage will be available on Xbox 360, PS3, and PC on October 4 in North America and October 7 in the UK.
