Those who download Xbox 360 titles to their console may need to make room if they plan on installing id Software's upcoming shooter on their hard drive.
At this year’s Quakecon, John Carmack explained that the install will require anywhere from 21-22 GB of space on the Xbox 360 console.
“On the 360 we don’t have a partial install option; it’s all or nothing, which is kind of unfortunate,” he said. “It means you have to install 21/22GB of stuff which takes a long time but if you’ve got it and you play it on the 360 that’s the way to go,” said Carmack.
This is not the first title to require a large amount of hard drive space to be installed. For example, Final Fantasy XIII requires 18.3 GB of room on a console.
Rage is set to hit shelves on October 4 for North America and October 7 for Europe.
