In response to the recent editorial 5 Things Girls Won't Say About Gamer Guys (Written by a Girl), we here at PlanetXbox360 would like to approach the topic from the opposite perspective and let you gamer girls in on our feelings toward your demographic. While this list may only reflect my opinion, there are a lot of guys out there who would give anything to find a girl who shares their same passion for the industry.
So, here we go...
5. Gamer Girls are Hot - Okay... so this one's actually not much of a secret. Guys who spend a good chunk of their time playing video games would love nothing more than to find a girl who enjoys playing along with them. Sharing interests is important, and when you've got someone who appreciates your hobby just as much as you do, it makes gaming all the more awesome.
4. It's Just a Hobby - When it comes down to it, gaming is just a hobby. It's not a lifestyle or obsession (for most of us anyway) so don't assume that anyone will judge you negatively if you enjoy playing games. While it still isn't considered to be coolest or most noble way to occupy your time, in the end it serves the same purpose as any other form of entertainment, providing an escape from everyday life. While the general public may view gamers as individuals without social lives, don't let that deter you from your hobby. Besides, the majority of us gamer guys have solid socials lives and won't judge you for your interests.
