After the scheduled maintenance went longer than usual, Xbox Live is now back up and running. Was the extended period due to integration of the Halo 3 beta?
What do people do when they can't play on Live? Create rumors it seems... even though it was confirmed and officially stated before the maintenance began that it was simply routine maintenance, no dashbaord upgrades or anything else, rumors started flying around that the system was being upgraded for the Halo 3 beta.
Major Nelson did keep us updated the entire time what was going on here, and also wrote "Ohhh...I have a surprise for you later today :)". Stay tuned to see what that was about! You can also follow the pain that the extended maintenance caused our members in the forums here.
