The Creative Director over at DICE, Lars Gustavsson, is still talking about a possible sequel to Mirror’s Edge. While it appears to be mere speculation, there also seems to be a ray of hope.
“The dream is definitely still there,” Gustavsson acknowledged when speaking on the topic. “It’s a game loved by the studio. It’s one of those games where you miss the universe, such as Shadow of the Colossus. I really liked Alan Wake, for example; I miss being in that universe. I miss being in the Mirror’s Edge universe; sometimes I just need to pick up the controller and play a bit, just to be back.”
There have been various off-handed comments from folks at DICE and EA throughout the years, but nothing has been concrete. “Who knows what the future brings?” Gustavsson ponders. “But I would really happy to see it out there again.”
