Two Eidos Games Sequels Confirmed

by Matt Gibbs

The latest financial reports for SCi, Eidos' parent company, have revealed that sequels for both Crackdown and Battlestations: Midway are on the way.

Unfortunately they don't say much else however! It is assumed that the Battlestations: Midway sequel will be available on the Xbox 360 (it was released for both Xbox 360 and PC this year), and with Crackdown being a Xbox 360 exclusive title, it's safe to say the white (and now Black) console will be the sole platform again too.

About Crackdown

Crackdown pushes the action-driving hybrid genre into the next generation with the first ever truly 3-D playground. Enforce justice by any means necessary in a crime-ridden urban center built to encourage the exploration of the full width, depth, and height of the city. Coupled with highly innovative co-op gameplay, a first for the genre, and an interactive world where nearly anything can be used as a weapon, create a volatile cocktail of action as you clean up the streets.

About Battlestations: Midway

Battlestations: Midway follows the story of naval recruit Henry Walker, whose first assignment as a gunner at Pearl Harbor is the starting point of an incredible career at the heart of the US Pacific Fleet in 1942, in what was to become one of the most inspirational military campaigns in history.

For the first time, relive the intensity of massive air, sea and underwater WWII battles in a unique mix of intense action and tactical gameplay. Directly control dozens of highly detailed warships, aircraft and submarines in a ‘free-control’ environment as you design and execute the best plans of attack. Command the colossal firepower of a fully armed battleship, engage the enemy in fierce dogfights through flak-infested skies or utilise the stealth of your submarine to unleash deadly torpedo attacks on unsuspecting enemies.

Its definately Just Cause. Crackdown is developed by Real Time Worlds and published by Microsoft. I find it wierd that anyone could make that mistake.

In my humble yet overrated opinion, this is good news. I am having such fun with Battlestations: Midway.
