One of the more controversial video game dramas to unfold in recent years is the nasty break-up between Vince Zampella, Jason West and Activision. The legal system has prolonged the conflict for a year already, but now there is an official court date to settle the matter. On May 7th, 2012, Zampella and West will plead their case that Activision owes them $125 million in royalties for Modern Warfare 2, and the legal rights to the Modern Warfare franchise.
Activision is counter-suing Zampella, West, and EA, claiming that the former Infinity Ward bosses were illegally in conversation with EA, Activision’s biggest rival. This counter-suit does not yet have a court date.
