If you were a fan of Ninja Theory's story-driven adventure title Enslaved, I've got some bad news for you. In an interview with Edge, Ninja Theory’s Tameem Antoniades broke the news that a sequel is not in the works.
While Enslaved: Odyssey to the West was undoubtedly a great game, it didn't sell all that well, making it difficult to justify working on a sequel. However, with the Devil May Cry reboot on the way, Ninja Theory hopes to find more success with a well established franchise.
"Enslaved should have done better. Right now we should have been doing a sequel and perfecting that sequel and doing what franchises do, which is get better over time. [But] because that didn't happen we've not expanded to two teams like we intended to. So we've remained a smaller shop. But now we get another chance with DMC."
