Electronic Arts has just revealed that developer Klei Entertainment is working on a sequel to the popular Xbox Live Arcade title Shank. The game is set to arrive on XBLA sometime early 2012 and include an all-new survival co-op mode.
Developer Jamie Cheng spoke out on their plans for Shank 2, saying, "Creatively, Shank still has a lot to give. We took the feedback from the community and ran with it, putting our own flavor on every change. For Shank 2, we literally took apart the game and put it back together to push the envelope in combat mechanics, visuals, and 2D animation in games."

The game looks like it will be just as brutal and bloody as ever.
