Top Ten Games that Should Be in Every 360 Gamer's Library

    by Alex Osborn

It's no secret that the Xbox 360 has a plethora of awesome games begging for your attention. Whether you're new to the wonderful world of Xbox, or have been gaming on Microsoft's console since it launched back in 2005, the following handful of games are some that should not be missed. While I could go on and list about fifty or so great titles that are worth checking out, I've slimmed the list down to a manageable ten. As a note, I'm only including games that have already come out... because for all we know, Skyrim could suck! Just kidding. Also, I haven't included multiple games from the same franchise, so if the entry you like isn't on there, just pretend that it is.

    Here we go:

    10. Batman: Arkham Asylum - Whether you are a fan of superheroes or not, Arkham Asylum is a game for anyone who enjoys a solid action title. If you just so happen to be a fan of the Dark Knight, even better! It is clear that the development team over at Rocksteady is comprised of a whole bunch of comic book nerds, because they certainly do the Batman universe a lot of justice. This is hands down the best superhero inspired video game you will ever play... that is, of course, until the release of Arkham City.

    9. The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion - This game launched back when the Xbox 360 was still just a baby and yet, Bethesda was able to make use of the hardware to create an expansive, fully fleshed out world that had never been seen before on consoles. This title set the bar for open world games when it launched, and few have been able to hold a candle to it for five some odd years. That's one heck of an accomplishment in and of itself. With Skyrim on the horizon, it's no wonder that role-playing fans are salivating uncontrollably for Oblivion's successor.

    8. Grand Theft Auto IV - Rockstar took the GTA franchise in an entirely new direction when they brought the series into the current generation of consoles. Sporting a much more serious and mature tone, GTA IV featured a much more compelling cast than prior entries and a storyline that put the earlier games to shame. While many were upset at Rockstar's new take on the franchise, I was pleased with the way they decided to cut out a lot of over-the-top nonsense seen in the earlier titles. Plus, the level of detail they poured into Liberty City is absolutely astounding, even to this day.
