A Halo film has been in the works for some time now, having jumped around the hands of several different directors over the past few years. It looks the game to film adaptation may finally become a reality at the hands of Spielberg.
According to a press pack from Halo.fr, “A film adaptation is set in 2012. It will be conducted jointly by two heavyweights of American cinema: Steven Spielberg and Dreamworks.”
While I would much rather see the film under the leadership of Peter Jackson and Neill Blomkamp - who abandoned the project to work on District 9 - I'm sure Spielberg is more than capable of creating a flick that is true to the Halo universe. But man, after seeing awesome District 9 turned out, it's really a shame Jackson isn't working on this one.
