The Assassin's Creed franchise has spanned some pretty interesting and picturesque locales and time periods. Now that Ubisoft is officially done with the stories of Ezio and Altair, there's no reason to doubt that the third proper installment in the franchise will take Desmond and/or another ancestor to a completely new setting. The latest game, Assassin’s Creed: Revelations, ties up the entire storyline by letting you control both Ezio and Altair, the most recent AC game released just days ago; if you haven’t already take a minute and go check out official review by clicking here; the entire Assassin's Creed franchise is one of our favorite series across the entire lifecycle of the Xbox 360, so to say we are excited about where Ubisoft is heading next would be a massive understatement. So without further ado, here are our ten favorite settings for the next Assassin's Creed video game.
10. Ancient Egypt - If Uncharted 3 was any indication, the desert is an awesome place for a game setting. With the graphical capabilities of today, Ubisoft could make a pretty epic recreation of Ancient Egypt. Just imagine scaling pyramids and and sprinting around the world's sand-washed landscape. With such a rich history full of mystery and intrigue, there's a lot the dev team could do here.
9. Feudal Japan - How awesome would it be if Desmond Miles had a distant relative who was actually a samurai. Even better yet, how sweet would it be to actually play as this character? Gamers have been crying out to Capcom for another installment in the Onimusha series for some time now, because let's face it, samurai's are awesome! Just think of all the kinds of cool stories they could tell and what sorts of interesting game mechanics they could incorporate.
8. American Revolution - This was an epic and pivotal moment in U.S. history, and what better way to experience America's triumph than to play through it as one of Desmond's ancestors. Wouldn't it be awesome to fight alongside some of America's most memorable and pivotal historical figures? Talk about an interactive history lesson!
