We have heaps of new screenshots, as well as a new trailer for Two Worlds - an upcoming RPG due out from TopWare Interactive. Two Worlds combines the extremely dynamic and sophisticated combat system best known from the top selling “Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic” with the meaning and freedom of the acclaimed “Fallout“ series. A top quality Role Playing experience - The ultimate goal of the Two Worlds project is to deliver a superior Role Playing Game to the PC market where players have a real chance to shape the game world with their actions - to an extent that has yet to seen in other productions. This premise will be supported with a strong, non-linear storyline, mind blowing graphics, and stunning combat sequences. To attract the mass audience, the complexity of the game will be achieved mainly through a variety of meaningful choices while the User Interface will be simplified.

The blood animations look horrendous though. Looks like I'm back playing Killer Instinct Gold on the N64.
(not that there was anything wrong with that game back in that day) |

The graphics are obviously going to be compared to Oblivion. Hopefully they improve on it, but it's difficult to judge with the quality of this vid. I like the different styles of locations, something Oblivion really lacked. Enemies seemed pretty varied, and good looking. The magic effects were decent, although there wasn't much time to get a good look. Finally, the melee combat worries me. I looks cool when no baddies are around, but during actual combat it seems a little... flaily. The character goes in a straight line, ignoring the enemy completely, whirling his arms around like the Star Wars kid. Hopefully it won't break the immersion too much. |
