If there’s one video game system that is thriving with exclusive franchises, it’s the PlayStation 3. Over the past year (and leading into the next), the system will see plenty of titles that won’t be on other consoles (read our breakdown of the top 10 Xbox 360 owners want, by clicking here), including Twisted Metal, Starhawk, Uncharted 3 and Infamous 2. But that doesn’t mean PS3 owners aren’t dreaming of Xbox 360 exclusives in their system. Yes, Microsoft does have some killer weapons in its arsenal, and though some of the exclusives (like Mass Effect 2) did eventually drift over to PS3 land, some will never see the light of day on a Sony console. Those folks will dare to dream though, don’t they? So, with that, we’ve got a breakdown of the ten exclusives that PS3 owners are dying to get on their system. Good luck, guys. Here’s the list…
10. Kinectimals: While we’re not crazy about the whole “pet simulation” business, no game does it better right now than Kinectimals. In this virtual sim, you play around with a number of exotic pets, using hand gestures and motions to guide them around obstacles, make them perform tricks and commands, or simply nurture them better than you ever could in real life. (You know, because they’d probably attack you.) Using the Move peripheral, Kinectimals could easily work on the PlayStation 3, perhaps with a bit more precision. The only downside? It’d obviously have to be renamed. Moveimals? Nah.
9. Perfect Dark: Rare was a pretty pivotal loss for Nintendo when Microsoft scooped them up a few years ago, but does Sony realize what value the developer holds? Yeah, their heyday passed when Battletoads and Killer Instinct came out, but the company still has an ace up their sleeve every once in a while, like the HD port of this N64 classic. Featuring online play, exquisite visuals and the classic shoot-em-up gameplay we’ve come to love, Perfect Dark feels like an ideal fit for the PlayStation Network. And hey, it’d give players a good downloadable shooter to play outside of Battlefield 1943, you know?
8. Splosion Man (or Ms. Splosion Man): Twisted Pixel was bought by Microsoft for a reason – they’re frickin’ lunatics. We mean that in a good way, mind you. They truly know their stuff when it comes to innovative design surrounded by an original, vibrant cartoon-like vibe. And there’s no better games to highlight that than the two Splosion Man games, including the recently released Ms. Splosion Man. These two would fill the dire need for a good platforming title on PSN, encouraging players to keep trying to go through a level and find all the secrets. Hell, maybe I should go back and play now.
