“This is by far the largest scale production Capcom has ever embarked on,” Hiroyuki Kobayashi, Capcom executive producer, announced while introducing Resident Evil 6 earlier this week. “Between the 150 staff members in Japan and everybody around the world, we have more than 600 people involved. A lot of work has gone into this game.” Kobayashi expressed that Resident Evil 6 will take the core gameplay from entries that made the series a classic, and mix that with surprising new elements. With the help of over 600 people, there would be no excuse for Resident Evil 6 to come up short. Lets just hope there aren’t too many cooks in the kitchen.
In the video below, executive producer Kobayashi, producer Yoshiaki Hirabayashi, and director Eiichiro Sasaki introduce the announcement trailer for Resident Evil 6. Resident Evil 6 is slated for a November 20th, 2012 release on the Xbox 360 and PS3.
