It was revealed in THQ’s third-quarter financial earnings report that Metro: Last Light was being delayed and would not be released by the 2012 holiday season. Rather, the 4A Games’ sequel to Metro 2033 is looking at a Q1 2013 release. While it is always a disappointment to see a game being delayed, at least it means the quality of the game is in the developers’ best interests. The delay could also be a result of THQ’s recent financial hardships, as the company lost $100 million on the uDraw tablet investment, forcing the company to fire over 240 employees.
Metro: Last Light is now scheduled for an early 2013 release on the Xbox 360, PS3, WiiU, and PC.
