Ubisoft Transferring Servers to In-House February 7th; Most Games Temporarily Offlineby Zach Pint
The online functionality for many Ubisoft games will be down on February 7th, as the company transfers their servers from a 3rd-party data center into their own in-house facility. Some of Ubisoft’s newer titles will not be affected, while a few of their computer games will be completely unplayable. The temporary loss of online functions should only last one day as long as no unexpected problems occur during the shifting of servers. A list of Ubisoft games that will be unplayable on February 7th has been listed below:
- Assassin's Creed - Mac
- Tom Clancy's H.A.W.X. 2 - PC
- Might & Magic: Heroes VI - PC
- Splinter Cell: Conviction - Mac
- The Settlers 7: Path to a Kingdom - PC
- The Settlers - Mac
The following Ubisoft titles will not be affected by the server migration. Any titles not listed however will lose their online functions for that day.
- ANNO 2070 - PC
- Assassin's Creed Revelations - OnLive, PC, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3
- Driver: San Francisco - OnLive, PC, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3
- Just Dance 3 - Xbox 360
- The Settlers Online - PC (web-based)
