Skullgirls is a fighting game being developed by Reverge Labs for the XBLA and PSN. The lore behind the game, revealed in the trailer below, claims that The Skull Heart will grant a woman’s wish as long as she is pure of heart. If she wishes for something without being pure of heart however, she is transformed into a Skullgirl and must be defeated in order for her to surrender the Skull Heart. There is plenty of gameplay footage in this trailer as well, so be sure to check it out.
Skullgirls currently has a release window of “Early 2012” for the XBLA and PSN.
